The route is straight from Rishikesh via Badrianth. You can take Bus or Taxi from Rishikesh or Badrinath. The route requires some steep climb and height of about 10000 ft. is reached often. You will be required to take necessary medicine and potable water too. Badrinath ji is a road head and you can walk to the temple alternatively, "Pitthu" may be taken for going to the temple.
