Chardham is a very famous pilgrimage circuit in the Indian State of Uttarakhand. All the Dhams are located at the high altitude of the Himalayas. All the Chardhams are known as Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath. This 12 days Chardham pilgrimage tour from Delhi offers sacred darshan of all four shrines with comfortable accommodations and facilities in between the yatra.
Tour Package Itinerary
Day – 1 – Delhi to Haridwar (5/6 hours / 230 km)
Arrive at the Delhi airport/ Railway station. Our representative will meet and assist you, after the meet and greet you will transfer to Haridwar. It will be a 5 to 6-hour journey. After reaching the Haridwar you will be transferred to the hotel. In the evening you If time permits visit Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Devi Temple, Daksha Mahadev Temples & Others. Also, visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti.
Day – 2 – Haridwar to Barkot (7/8 hours / 210 km)
Wake up early in the morning. After breakfast, you will drive to the Barkot via Mussoorie. It will be a long journey. The route is full of the scenic view. After reaching the Barkot check-in the hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax and store your energy for the Pahad (hill) Yatra of Yamunotri the next day. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day – 3 – Barkot to Yamunotri to Barkot (36 km drive / 6 km trek, one side)
Early in the morning straight drive to the Jankichatti, the trek will start from here. The trek passes through a lush green valley, a profusion of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti and several species of Himalayan shrubs.
On arrival at Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot Kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. After taking bath in the Kund of Jamnabai warm water and having “Darshan” of “Yamunaji”, we will return back to Jankichatti. Then Return back to Barkot, Overnight stay at Barkot.
Day – 4 - Barkot to Uttarkashi (4 hours/ 100 km)
In the morning, drive to the Uttarkashi. Check-in the hotel in Uttarkashi. After lunch, you can visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple in Uttarkashi. The name of the city is similar to Kashi (Varanasi). Both the cities are situated on the bank of river Ganga. Kashi Vishwanath is one of the oldest temples in North India and constructed by the Maharani of Tehri State. After visiting many of the other places you will be back at the hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day – 5 – Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (3/4 hour / 100 km each side)
Early in the morning with packed breakfast, we will drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harshil valley. Harshil has a helipad where pilgrims can land directly from the Dehradun. Harsil is famous for its natural beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains. After reaching the Gangotri Dham, perform a pooja at the temple and take a dip in the holy river Ganga. Later we will drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay will be at Uttarkashi.
Day – 6 – Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (7/8 hours / 210 km)
Early in the morning after breakfast, we will drive to Guptkashi, the route is quite long and beautiful. We will see the beautiful Mandakini River at Tilwara. We will drive alongside the river to reach Guptkashi. After reaching the Gupkashi check-in the hotel. In the evening we will visit some of the famous places of the town. The meaning of the town is hidden Kashi( Varanasi). Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day – 7 – Guptkashi to Kedarnath (30 km drive and 19 km trek)
Early in the morning, you will drive to the Sonprayag then you have to take local jeep for Gaurikund and then start trekking towards the Kedarnath Dham. You can take a helicopter also from Guptkashi to Kedarnath. At the Sonprayag you can take pony/palki to reach the Kedarnath. After reaching the Kedarnath visit the temple and perform the pooja here. Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga in India. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. Today we will stay in Kedarnath.
Day – 8 – Kedarnath to Guptkashi (30 km drive and 19 km trek)
In the morning after the pooja, we will back to the Sonprayag. You can visit the pilgrimage places in the Sonprayag. Later we will be back to the Guptkashi.
Day – 9 – Guptkashi to Badrinath (7/8 hour / 210 km)
In the morning after breakfast, we will drive to the Badrinath. After reaching the Badrinath check-in the hotel. You can take a dip in the Tapt Kund. In the evening we will visit the Badrinath temple. There are many other places like Mana, Vyas Gufa. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). Overnight stay will be at Badrinath.
Day – 10 – Badrinath to Rudraprayag (160 km)
After breakfast, drive to the Rudraprayag. Visit some of the famous places in Joshimath then drive to the Rudraprayag. Overnight stay will be at the Rudraprayag.
Day – 11 – Rudraprayag to Haridwar (5/6 hour 165 km)
In the morning we will drive to the Haridwar via Rishikesh. After reaching the Rishikesh we will visit some of the famous places in the Rishikesh. Later proceed to the Haridwar and overnight sat will be at the hotel.
Day – 12 – Haridwar to Delhi (6/7 hours 210 km)
In the morning we will straight drive to Delhi. After reaching the Delhi our tour will end here.
