Gangotri temple is dedicated to the Goddess Ganga. The temple is constructed by the Nepalese general Amar Singh Thapa. In the winter due to heavy snowfall goddess Ganga migrates from the Gangotri to Harshil. Mukhba Temple is the winter seat of Goddess Ganga.

Badrinath temple is dedicated to the Lord Vishnu and situated on the bank of the River Alaknanda. In the winter, lord Badrinath migrates from Badrinath to Joshimath in Narshing temple. This was constructed by the Adi Guru Shankracharya.

Tour Package Itinerary

Day – 1 - Rishikesh – Harsil (9/10 hours / 246 km)

Arrive at Rishikesh we will drive to the Harshil via Uttarkashi. Reach to the Uttarkashi and visit the Vishwanath temple perform pooja there. Lunch will be served at Uttarkashi. Then we will drive to the Harshil. Harshil known is for its beauty of nature. Reach Harshil and check in the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day – 2 – Harshil – Uttarkashi (3/4 hours / 80 km)

In the morning, after tea, we will visit the Mukhaba temple. Mukhba Temple is the winter seat of Goddess Ganga. After darshan and pooja and back to TRH (Tourist Rest House) in Harshil. Lunch will be served at Harshil. After lunch we will be drive to Uttarkashi. Visit Vishwanath temple and perform evening aarti. Nehru Mountaineering Institute located here which is worth a visit. Dinner & Night halt at TRH Uttarkashi.

Day – 3 – Uttarkashi – Srinagar - Rudraprayag (6/7 hours / 179 km)

In the morning check out from your hotel. We will drive to the Tehri dam. After visit the Dam site we will travel to the Srinagar. Visit Kaleshwar temple in Srinagar and lunch will be served here. Later we will proceed to the Rudraprayag. Visit the Rudranath temple here. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Rudraprayag.

Day – 4 – Rudraprayag – Joshimath (5/6 hours / 115 km)

Early in the morning check out from your hotel and drive to Joshimath. Joshimath is the winter seat of the Lord Badrinath. Arrive at Joshimath, lunch will be served here. After lunch we will visit the Auli Cabel car ride on direct payment basis. On arrival visit to Narsingh temple the winter seat of Lord Badrivishal Ji, Nav Durga temple and Vasudev temple. Overnight stay and dinner will be at the hotel.

Day – 5 – Joshimath – Karnprayag (3/4 hours / 90 km)

In the morning check out from the hotel and proceed to the Adi Badri. Adi Badri group of sixteen temples (one of the five Badris) mostly belonging to the late Gupta period. We will perform pooja here. Later drive to the Karnprayag and overnight stay and dinner will be at the hotel.

Day – 6 – Karnprayag – Rishikesh (7/8 hours / 173 km)

Early in the morning after a healthy breakfast, we will drive to Rishikesh. Lunch will be served at the GMVN White water rafting centre. Later we will travel to Rishikesh. The drive is along with with the view of soaring mountains looking down and the sacred Ganga flowing down and creates long stretches of white sandy beaches. Arrive at Rishikesh and your tour will end here.
